Altitude reveals Cannes market line-up

Altitude Film Sales has announced a robust roster of films they will represent at the Cannes Film Market. One of the hottest titles is US' Occupant Entertainment's action comedy Guns Akimbo, starring Daniel Radcliffe, from writer/director Jason Lei Howden. Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino are producing for Occupant, while Michael Mailis from Hyperion Entertainment (US) and Will Clarke and Andy Mayson from Altitude Films are executive producing. Altitude and Occupant will introduce the project to international buyers at Cannes.

Tribeca hit emotional romance The Boy Downstairs, by Sophie Brooks and starring Zosia Mamet and Matthew Shear, is another buzz title on Altitude’s books. US’ Cliffbrook Films’ Dan Clifton produced with David Brooks and Motion Picture Capital, with executive producer Paul Brooks. Altitude Film Distribution has acquired UK distribution rights.

Brian Welsh’s Beats, a tale of friends sharing a full on last party night together in the summer of 1994. Camilla Bray of Rosetta Films (US) produced. Altitude Film Sales and Wild Bunch will co-sell the film at Cannes. Altitude will handle UK distribution and Wild Bunch will distribute the film in France. 

Other titles include Asif Kapadia’s hotly anticipated documentary Maradona; Hans Canosa’s comedy Come As You Are, starring Isla Fisher and George MacKay; Marc Meyers’ drama My Friend Dahmer, starring Ross Lynch and Anne Heche; Peter Kline and Pete Shanel’s comedy drama Four Seasons, starring Frances Conroy and Emma Roberts; Hiromasa Yonebayashi’s animated children’s tale Mary and the Witch’s Flower; Tom Edmund’s comedy Dead in a Week: Or Your Money Back, starring Tom Wilkinson and Aneurin Barnard (read news); Suzi Ewing’s thriller 10x10, starring Luke Evans and Kelly Reilly; Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman’s supernatural thriller Ghost Stories, starring Martin Freeman and Andy Nyman (news); Lance Daly’s revenge drama Black 47, starring Hugo Weaving and Jim Broadbent (news); Lili Fini Zanuck’s documentary Eric Clapton: A Life in 12 Bars; Kevin Macdonald’s documentary Whitney Houston (working title - news); Johannes Roberts’ thriller 47 Meters Down, starring Claire Holt and Mandy Moore (news); and a slew of library titles. 

Attending the market are Altitude managing director Mike Runagall, senior sales manager Vicki Brown, international marketing manager Robin Andrews, international sales executive Charlie Kemball and international sales assistant Jordan Allwood.
