Written by the director and based on the book of the same name by Christophe Dufossé, the screenplay centres around Pierre Hoffman, who joins St Joseph’s College to stand in for a young French teacher who threw himself from the window of his classroom. But he soon starts noticing strange behaviour from his Year 10 class. Closely knit, abnormally well-disciplined and bright, these teenagers are an impenetrable block. Produced by Caroline Bonmarchand for Avenue B Productions (which also worked with the director on Faultless), School's Out has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and OCS, and has received support from the Ile-de-France region. The film will be distributed in French theatres by Haut et Court, and sales will be handled by Celluloïd Dreams.
