- Art, fashion and a wealth of cinema: from November 1 to 7 Made in Italy will show 8 films, from Avati to Ozpetek, for the 300th anniversary of Russian city

Art, fashion and lots of cinema: Made in Italy is heading for Russia in big style from November 1 to 7, 2003. During the festivities for the 300th anniversary of the foundation of St Petersburg, the Rodina cinema will putting on film review called 20th Century Italy, dedicated to the most recent Italian productions. The event is being organised by ICE as part of the project "Italy - Life in I style", in collaboration with Italia Cinema an support from UNEFA, the Union of Foreign Distributors.

There will be 8 titles on the programme for the Russian public to enjoy: A Heart Elsewhere by Pupi Avati, which opens the review, The Embalmer by Matteo Garrone, Facing Window [+see also:

by Marco Tullio Giordana and Il Posto dell'Anima by Riccardo Milani. The review will also feature three first works by young authors, representing the cinema of the new millennium: Passato Prossimo by Maria Sole Tognazzi, Biuti Quin Olivia, by Federica Martino and Just Do It by Francesco Apolloni.
The focus on Italian cinema will also be put on in Moscow at virtually the same time: this review will start on November 3 and continue until November 9, at the Fitil cinema in the Russian capital.
