Palme d’or: the press favorites

by Fabien Lemercier

Palme d’or: the press favorites21/05/2005 - There has been a constant uncertainty this year on the potential Palme d’or winner since Cannes started, which is quite rare actually. Indeed, six films are among the favorites: Hidden [trailer, film focus] by Michael Haneke, L'enfant [trailer, film focus] by the brothers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, A History of violence by David Cronenberg, Broken Flowers by Jim Jarmusch, Last Days by Guys van Sant and Don't Come Knocking [trailer] by Wim Wenders. A starting line characterized by great filmmakers who have all been awarded a Cannes Prize (3 Palme d’or awarded to Wenders, van Sant and the Dardenne Brothers).
