MEDIA Salles: 'Will digital technology save the cinema?'

27/06/2005 - From today until the 30th of June, the Amsterdam 'Cinema Expo International' presents Focus on Europe, an event organised every year by MEDIA Salles.
This event will open with a seminar entitled 'Will digital technology save the cinema?', followed by the presentation of new European films and trailers. An evening will also be dedicated to European cinema, on the 28th.

Among the guests , will be the brothers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, winners of this year's Golden Palm in Cannes; they will receive the International Directors of the Year Award.
Focus on Europe will end with the MEDIA Salles Award ceremony: the European producer of the year is Elda Ferri, who produced many films which brought fame and prestige to Italian cinema throughout the world.
