Marc Tessier : selective aid for distribution

With a new role, a return to the National Film Centre (CNC) for Marc Tessier who was named last Friday as president of the Commission for selective aid for Distribution , replacing Raphaël Hadas-Lebel. Having just completed his tenure in July as head of the group France Télévisions, Marc Tessier returns to the CNC of which he was head between 1995 à 1999.

The Commission for selective aid for Distribution provides support for the circulation of French or foreign auteur films, with aid to the companies (to the structure and to the programmes) and to the films. It consists of 14 members in total, among them Georges Goldenstern (director of Cinéfondation), Stéphane Auclaire (Celluloïd Dreams Distribution ), Alexandra Henochsberg (Ad Vitam Distribution), the director Safy Nebbou and expert Jean-Michel Gevaudan (Regional Film Development Agency - ADRC). For 2005, the National Film Centre (CNC) has set aside around 5 million euros of selective aid to distribution and 20 million euros of Fast Track Aid to the sector, to which you can add 6 million euros from Canal + in favour of distributors.
