Garcia and Cotillard lost in La Boîte noire

by

Third feature from Richard Berry, La Boîte noire (The black Box), with José Garcia and Marion Cotillard is, without doubt, the main attraction this Wednesday among the releases in French cinemas, where ten new features are launched, of which five are French, one is a Franco-Argentine co-production, a Korean feature co-produced by MK2 Productions, and three American films. Adaptation of a novel by Tonino Benacquista, the thriller La Boîte noire retraces the misadventures of a man coming out of a coma following an car accident and who then discovers a dark past: the truth about his origins, the amorous betrayals of his youth, an insider crime. Produced, distributed in France on 300 or so prints and sold internationally by Europa Corp., La Boîte noire had a budget of 8,3 million euros including an investment of 1,75 million euros from TF1 Films Production.
