14/04/2006 - Following the increase of Portuguese titles in the programme of the upcoming IndieLisboa, the association Zero em Comportamento will organise a parallel film market called Lisbon Screenings, set to take place at the ICAM headquarters from April 21-23.
The aim of the screenings is to broaden the visibility of recent Portuguese films among international buyers and the programmers of international film festivals.
Holland’s Fortíssimo Films has confirmed its presence in the screenings, as have programmers from Toronto, Locarno, Rotterdam, Berlin (Forum), Sundance, Melbourne and Adelaide (Australia) Film Festivals.
Portuguese titles in IndieLisboa this year include Fernando Vendrell's new film Pele (lit. "Skin"), produced by the director's own company, David & Golias; A flor da pele by Catarina Mourão, produced by Laranja Azul; and the highly anticipated documentary Movimentos Perpétuos – Cine Tributo a Carlos Paredes by Edgar Pêra, which includes previously unseen images of and revelations by the legendary guitar player.
