The Malaga Spanish Film Festival is not over yet, but two of the event’s official selection titles hit Spanish screens today.

Miguel Hermoso's Lola [+see also:

film profile] (see news) is expected to attract the attention of a broad audience eager to see the life of one of Spain's biggest iconic singers, Lola Flores, on screen. The film, starring newcomer Gala Évora, Ana Fernández and José Luis García Pérez, is being released by DeA Planeta.

film profile] by Rodrigo Cortés, is being distributed by Barcelona-based Filmax and features Argentinean-born actor Leonardo Sbaraglia (Salvador [+see also:

Sherlock Films is releasing the Spanish/Peruvian crime drama Mariposa Negra by Francisco J. Lombardi, while Golem is behind Lars Von Trier's The Boss of It All [+see also:

film profile], a comedy that marks a pause in the Danish enfant terrible’s controversial "U,S & A" trilogy, whose first two parts, Dogville [+see also:

French star Gaspard Ulliel assumes a younger version of cannibal Hannibal Lecter – previously immortalised by Anthony Hopkins – in the major British/French/Italian/Czech co-production Hannibal Rising [+see also:

film profile] (distribution: Aurum), while Kuno Becker and Alessandro Nivola head the bill in the US/Germany/Spain co-production Goal! II: Living the Dream by Jaume Collet-Serra (distribution: BVI).
