Woody Allen nearly ready to shoot

12/06/2007 - Woody Allen has arrived in Spain, where he will shoot a film for the first time, starting from July in the cities of Barcelona and Oviedo.

Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz and Allen's new favourite actress Scarlett Johansson will join the US director on what is known by its working title as Woody Allen’s Spanish Project. Jaume Roures, the man beyond the successful Salvador [trailer], is producing the film for MediaPro. Wild Bunch manages the international sales (see news).

Before principal photography begins, Allen already has a busy schedule. This Thursday he will be granted an honorary doctorate from Pompeu Fabra University and on June 18 will present his latest film in Avilés, Cassandra's Dream [trailer], featuring Irish star Collin Farrell and UK actors Ewan McGregor and Tom Wilkinson.
