Sold worldwide by French/British outfit Dreamachine, who also invested €467,000 in minimum guarantees, the title has been picked up by a number of territories worldwide, in particular the UK (Optimum Releasing), Germany (Prokino Filmverleih Gmbh), Scandinavia (Sandrew Metronome ), Italy (BIM Distribuzione), Spain (Vertigo Films), Belgium (Cinéart-Cinélibre) North America (Sony Pictures Classics), Australia (The Weinstein Company), Japan (Longride) and Latin America (Sony).

Distribution
Diaphana, who invested €330,000 in its distribution rights in French cinemas (and €133,000 for video), is releasing Persepolis on June 27 on 200 screens.
