(Grand Prix at Cannes Critics’ Week 2006, see article). Other cast members include Amira Casar and Jacques Weber.

Co-scriptwriter on four films by Arnaud Despleschin (My Sex Life... or How I Got Into an Argument, Esther Kahn, Playing 'In the Company of Men' and Un conte de Noël, currently in post-production), Bourdieu wrote Intrusions with his regular partner Marcia Romano.

The plot develops around the character of Pauline de Saché (Régnier), a wealthy heiress who married François against her will after she became pregnant with his child. When François tells her he wants to leave her, Pauline bursts into a blind rage, sending him death threats over the phone.

Alexis Target (Podalydès), a labourer working in Pauline’s house, overhears these threats. A few days later, he comes back to see Pauline, telling her she’s fulfilled her wish and killed François. Alexis thus comes into Pauline’s life by force, because he too was seeking revenge.

Produced by Gilles-Marie Tiné for Arcapix, the €2.8m Intrusions is backed by the Ile-de-France (€418,000), Soficinéma and Cinemage, as well as pre-sales from Canal+ and Ciné Cinéma.

Filming is scheduled to last eight weeks in and around Paris.

Rezo Films will handle the film’s French theatrical release.
