FESTIVALS Luxembourg

First take for DirActor’s Cut Film Festival

by

The new DirActor’s Cut Luxembourg City International Film Festival will kick off today with a screening of My Best Enemy, by and starring Carlo Verdone. The new festival, which takes the place of the now defunct Cinénygma Fantastic Film Festival (see news), spotlights the work of actor-directors.

On the menu of its first edition, which is organised this year as part of the 2007 Luxembourg Capital of Culture celebrations, are encounters with several actor-directors as well as Luxembourg premieres. France is well represented, with Guillaume Canet, Sophie Marceau, Niels Arestrup, Nils Tavernier, Sam Karmann and Laure Duthilleul all expected to present their recent work as actor-directors in person.
