I Am from Titov Veles in Panorama

10/01/2008 - I Am from Titov Veles [trailer, film focus] is the second feature by young Macedonian director Teona Strugar Mitevska, produced by Sisters and Brother Mitevski.

Selected for the Panorama section, I Am from Titov Veles, which has already enjoyed success at various festivals, tells the story of three sisters in a Macedonian city ravaged by the effects of pollution from a lead factory.

The film was co-produced by french company Silk Road Productions, Slovenian Vertigo Film.and Belgian companies Climax Films and Entre Chien et Loup.

Belgian DoP Virginie Saint Martin, who came to the director’s attention for her work on Feathers in My Head [trailer], introduced the director to the Belgian producers.

The title received financial support from Eurimages, the MEDIA Programme, Fonds Sud Cinéma, the CNC and the French Community of Belgium.

International sales are being handled by French company Insomnia.
