Memento counting on Laurent Cantet’s Entre les murs

At the European Film Market at the Berlinale (February 7-17), French international sales agent Memento Films will get business underway for Laurent Cantet’s latest feature, Entre les murs (“Between the Walls”, see news), a serious contender for the forthcoming Cannes selection.

The team headed by Tanja Meissner will also be looking for a hit in another project in post-production, the Swiss/French/Belgian co-production Home by Ursula Meier, starring Isabelle Huppert and Olivier Gourmet (see news). A promotional reel will be unveiled to give distributors a view of the first scenes shot for the film.

Other noteworthy titles in the line-up include French/Swedish co-production Grown Ups by Anna Novion, starring Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Anaïs Dumoustier, Judith Henry and Lia Boysen (see news); and Turkish/Greek co-production My Only Sunshine by Reha Erdem.

Memento will also present three features currently in competition at Rotterdam: French production Eat, For This Is My Body [+see also:

by Michelange Quay, starring Sylvie Testud and Catherine Samie; Thai feature Wonderful Town (prize-winner at Pusan and selected in the Forum section at Berlin); and Chilean/German/French co-production The Sky, the Earth and the Rain by José Luis Torres Leiva.

Market screenings will also include Philippe Aractingi’s Under the Bombs, which was unveiled at the Venice Film Festival and recently won acclaim in competition at the Sundance Festival.
