Swedish film scoops Silver Méliès at NIFFF

Over 20,000 viewers attended the 8th Neuchâtel International Fantasy Film Festival, which closed on July 6.

The international competition jury – presided by US director Joe Dante – presented the H.R. Giger Award - Narcissus for Best Film to Alex Rivera’s Sleep Dealer (USA/Mexico).

also won the Silver Méliès for Best European Fantasy Feature. The film is thus shortlisted for the Golden Méliès, whose ceremony will be held in Sitges in October, at the 41st Catalonia International Film Festival.
