Shame, El topo y Tyrannosaur, máximos favoritos a los premios BIFA

02/11/2011 - Shame [tráiler], de Steve McQueen; El topo [tráiler], de Tomas Alfredson, y Tyrannosaur [tráiler], de Paddy Considine, son las favoritas a la 14ª edición de los Premios del Cine Independiente del Reino Unido (BIFA), con siete candidaturas cada una. Las tres películas optan a los premios en las categorías de película, director, actor y actriz o actor de reparto. Por otro lado, We Need to Talk About Kevin [tráiler, film focus] y Kill List [tráiler] competirán en seis categorías, mientras que Submarine lo hará en cinco.

Los directores de estos premios, Johanna von Fischer y Tessa Collinson han comentado: “Los candidatos de este año destacan el inmenso talento que hay en el cine británico en la actualidad. Nos sentimos muy orgullosos de que los premios hayan crecido hasta el punto de conseguir la atención de todo el mundo y hayan llevado el talento del cine británico independiente al escenario internacional”.

El Comité de preselección, compuesto por setenta miembros, ha visto aproximadamente 200 películas, entre las cuales ha elegido las finalistas.

El jurado final está compuesto por Josh Appignanesi (director y guionista), Lucy Bevan (director de cásting), Edith Bowman (broadcaster), Mike Goodridge (montador), Ed Hogg (actor), Neil Lamont (director de arte), Mary McCartney (fotógrafo), Molly Nyman (compositor), Debs Paterson (director y guionista), Tracey Seaward (productor), Charles Steel (productor), David Thewlis (actor), Ruth Wilson (actriz) y Justine Wright (montadora).

Los ganadores serán anunciados el próximo 4 de diciembre.
