We met the executive director of CILECT (Centre International de Liasons des Ecoles de Cinéma et de Télévision) at the Bergamo Film Meeting 2013, which Semerdijev took part in with the director of the Milano Scuola di Cinema e Televisione, Laura Zagordi, during the presentation of The Best of Cilect Prize.

The selection of thirteen shorts from as many European schools was screened in the Cantiere Europa section of the festival. Semerdijev talked to Cineuropa about the importance of creating a platform for the exchange of ideas between the association's adhering schools, in order to help them understand what the future of training looks like for creative professionals going into the cinema, television and new media industries.
