Laura Marcellino, responsible for the Venice market, gives an overview of the second edition of the Venice Screenings. An initiative set up during the 2002 Venice Film Festival edition with the aim of increasing the space for the film market. As she says, the 2nd edition saw more than 2,000 professionals from around the world taking part in the event and over 100 feature length works shown, with a significant volume of investments and business deals.
Although the success of the initiative, she believes the following editions should be improved with more structures.
