Venice Days 2010

email print

Marion Hänsel • Director

Marion Hänsel explains the reasons that led her to make the film Ocean Black, which looks at French nuclear tests in the Pacific in the 1970s and explores the human side of events through the eyes of three young soldiers. According to the director, after all these years nothing has changed: people still believe in the usefulness of nuclear weapons and we see young soldiers go off to war with the same fears and the same uncertain vision of the future.
