The second panel of the Co-Production Market of the 65th edition of the Berlinale is a case study of drama series with an insight in Swedish thriller Jordskott.

The session in cooperation with Series Mania Festival/Forum des Images, sees the participation of creator and director Henrik Björn, producer Filip Hammarström (Palladium Fiction), producer Börje Hansson (Bright Pictures, Sweden), Ruth Clarke (ITVS Global Entertainment, UK), Christian Wikander (SVT, Sweden), moderated by Forum des Images executive director and Series Mania Festival founder and director Laurence Herszberg.

The panel illustrates the process that brings a TV series to life, from its very conception to its broadcasting, passing through three main stages: creative process, financing, and, finally, marketing strategy.

The series, broadcasted on the Swedish channel SVT, fits into the genre of mystery drama and thriller with supernatural ingredients.

The discussion delves extensively into the importance of producing a trailer, the differences between producing feature films and series, how to recognise the international potential of a product and the changing role of TV broadcasters in the evolving panorama of Internet Video On-Demand platforms.
