The old town of the city of Innsbruck - capital of Tirol – is a classic Austrian hybrid of Gothic and Baroque, which exudes a special charm and sophistication that is unique in the Alps.

The Golden Roof in the heart of the old town is Innsbruck's most famous landmark, the splendid alcove balcony gets its name from more than 2,500 fire-gilded copper tiles that adorn the roof.
