synopsis

During 300 years of slave trade, millions of Africans have been shipped to America. Following the track of this humiliating business, singer Youssou N'Dour and his friend, pianist Moncef Genoud, went searching for the influence of African music throughout the entire world. On their quest, they convinced musicians to perform Youssou’s songs during a concert on the island of Goree, off the coast of Senegal.
