CAST LEAD
synopsis
The operation «Piombo fuso» («Cast Lead») – usually referred to as the «Gaza War» by the western press or, in the Arab Muslim world, the «Gaza Massacre»– was the Israeli army’s codename for its military offensive in the Gaza strip from December 27, 2008 to January 18, 2009. On January 6, 2009, no witness had managed to cross the impenetrable walls of the Palestinian territory. But suddenly, almost by chance, a breach enabled filmmaker Stefano Savona to enter with his camera.
