The story of two young children who grow up in the remote countryside believing absolutely in the local myths and legends that surround them. The oldest, Berenice, convinces her younger brother that she is the reincarnation of a good witch, with the result that he becomes completely dependent on her and can't cope when she brings home a new boyfriend.
