synopsis

It's 1966, in a small town in Pomerania. Marzęda, a provincial tenor and the town's favourite who is always singing at official ceremonies and church celebrations, loses his job and social position because of a conflict with his neighbour, a local beauty acting as a geisha. His old friend, General Ogórcow, a commander of forces stationed at a nearby airport and an avowed music and alcohol lover, had also experienced the wickedness of women. His third wife has just run away with a counter-espionage agent to West Berlin. Ogórcow decides that he will personally drop two atomic bombs on West Berlin to bury this wicked world...
