VENICE

synopsis

According to the family tradition, this year the boy should go to Venice with his parents for the first time. However, the war breaks out and he has to hide in the provinces with his mother. They find shelter in the house of crazy aunts who decide to build a Venice for the boy in the basement flooded with water. Dreams of Venice are contrasted with the image of the war and the youngster undergoes a premature initiation into adult life.
