synopsis

Set at the end of WWII, this is the story of the scandalous love affair between Livia Mazzoni (Anna Galiena, an Italian woman married to a Propaganda Ministry mandarin (Antonio Salines) who falls devastatingly in lust with a lieutenant in the German army called Helmut Schultz (Gabriel Garko).During a long car journey to Venice, Anna tells her story - and also describes the promiscuous atmosphere of Venice during WWII. She hopes to be reunited with Helmut but Fate has a surprise in store for the lovers.
