synopsis

Hannelore (65) has been taking care of her husband Klaus (69), who suffers from dementia, for many years. It’s a burden of care that is now threatening to overwhelm her. When their neighbor Guenther (65) suddenly goes on a trip, Hannelore decides to follow him – leaving her husband alone at home. Guenther has just lost his partner to cancer and is off to his holiday cottage on the coast, where he plans to take his own life.
