synopsis

Arriving in England from America in search of her father, Courtney Francis, a young, insecure woman, finds her hopes of being able to start a new life with him in pieces when she discovers he has long since started a new family. Without care she runs away and soon finds herself lost in the deserted back streets of London where she is immediately in danger. She escapes them and finds refuge hiding in a large rundown hotel. Here she is offered accommodation if she works to pay the rent and with seemingly no more choices she resigns herself to living there.
