A LUCKY DAY

by Sandra Gugliotta

synopsis

Buenos Aires and all of Argentina are in the throes of one of the greatest crises in history. The streets are crowded with people unemployed, and demonstrations are routine. Elsa is only 25 years old and striving not to lose hope in the future. The only way out that she can think of is to find the means to allow her to fulfill her greatest dream: to travel to Italy. In the new country, she intends to meet a man to love and to lead a different life, a better life. She finds incentive in her grandfather, an aged Sicilian who imbues her with moral and political values.
