synopsis

Mrs Caldicot's Cabbage War is the poignant, warm and often funny story of an ordinary woman who, after being pushed around by others for most of her life, finally decides to stand up for herself. Thelma Caldicot has endured thirty years of dull, boring marriage to a dominating and insensitive husband. When two police officers bring the news of her unexpected widowhood, a sequence of events lead to a radical change in her way of life.
