AGAINST THE CURRENT
by Michèle Tyan
synopsis
A documentary highlighting the power of faith against radicalism and fanaticism; the film shines the light on personalities highly respected and valued within their religious communities. Among these personalities: Prince Abdul Kader Al Jazairi, Bishop Salim Ghazal, Imam Moussa Al Sader and Reverend Makram Kozah. Through the efficient and positive role played by each of them to ensure communication and solidarity with other groups during times of crisis and confessional conflicts, we feel the urge to react in our more divided and intolerant societies.
