Present-day Italy. Gianni, a forty-year-old writer of children's books, married and the father of a little boy has his life turned upside down when a mysterious stranger tells him that Gianni's late father was not the respectable career military officer everyone thought he was, but a full-blown KGB general and spy. The man assumed his "legend" and stole the identity of an Italian officer he murdered. Gianni's situation is not helped when he finds out that his wife is deceiving him.
