The Citizen tells the story of a man born and brought up in Communist Poland and documents how the social conditions and ideologies of the time impacted his life. The main character tries to participate in the changing social conditions and consequently becomes entangled in a plot of absurd circumstances and unpredictable events - not helped by his own clumsiness.
