LES SURVIVANTS
by Luc Jabon
synopsis
In Les Survivants, Rongione plays Nicolas Roulet, a former militant revolutionary who is released from jail after 18 years. Yearning to start a family and become an ordinary working man, Nicolas believes he is done with his criminal past. However, he is unaware that he is still under surveillance by the authorities. Even though his encounter with Nadia seems to change him completely, he cannot remain indifferent to all the inequality and unfairness he sees in the modern world. When he comes across a restless group of rebellious young people, he is forced to ask himself whether he can resist the temptation to repeat the fateful act that landed him in prison 18 years ago.
