ERIK AND THE LAND OF INSECT

by Gidi van Liempd

synopsis

Ten-year-old Erik has to give a presentation at school, but he doesn’t know a subject. His grandfather- who partly looks after the boy since Erik’s father past away - offers to help. Together they look at an old painting about the world of insects. Later that night Eric goes to look at the painting again and suddenly gets drawn into it. Being tiny himself now, he lives among the insects for one long night, during which he learns a lot about the small animals, but also about life itself and how to come to terms with it.
