synopsis

A young boy, Will is so traumatised by his mother's death that he retreats into silence. One day he meets Randall, a friendly but flatulent talking goose, who helps him regain his voice. However he soon discovers that the school principal, Congreve Maddox, is fattening up the goose in preparation for the Gourmand Gastronomique, a Christmas cooking competition.
