Homeless, Roland, by chance is found on the streets by a police officer. Starved, he is brought to a police canteen. There he meets an attractive and desperate young woman whose husband’s family refuse to return her child to her, because of her past. This woman gives our hero a reason to exist and Roland decides to improve himself by donning a uniform. But his natural awkwardness and his determination lead him to a situation, where he confuses the name of his parents-in-law with that of a famous businessman.
