CALL ME SALOMÈ

by Claudio Sestieri

synopsis

All in one night. A moonlight night. An endless night of festivities in which a veteran Boss loses his power and his will to live, a rejected lover loses his life, the hostage of a kidnapping – subject to ecstatic mystical crisis – literally loses his head, a charming young enchantress loses her virginity and ,at the same time, learns the mystery of life and death. “ Salomé”, in one word. Oscar wilde’s play in one act revisited for today’s film-audience with the wish not only to respect it’s spirit but also, to a great extent, to the letter.
