FUOCO SU DI ME

by Lamberto Lambertini

synopsis

It is Naples 1815 during the last months of the reign of Joachin Murat. It is a violent period when the King has to face a rebellious population. Eugenio, wounded in battle while in France, returns to Naples to stay with his aristocratic grandfather Don Nicola. The old man is writing a diary. His concept of how life should be is very different from the terrible events taking place around him. Eugenio also meets Graziella. His love for her and his times with his gentle grandfather reveals a path of hope and peace where even the destructive power of war cannot stop his emergence from darkness into light.
