A ESCRITORA ITALIANA
by André Badalo
synopsis
The Year 2035: Joseph, 55 years old and well traveled, enters a bookshop searching for an Italian writer: Giulia Firenze. While the attendant is searching in the author database, Joseph begins to tell her a story about a woman that he had met nearly 30 years before when he was at the seminary... Joseph is about to leave the city when he literally bumped into Giulia at the train station. From that first moment, they both felt a very intense attraction. All trains were delayed because of the Pope’s visit; they begin to chat. Giulia told Joseph that she had come to Portugal on a mission. She explained that her father, an Italian who had fought for Portugal during the colonial war, had lost his memory in an accident while fighting in Africa.
