Hanro Smitsman

Breda (Holland), 1967. Has made several shorts, including Dajo (2003), Engel en Broer (2004) and Contact (2006), the last of which won the Golden Bear for Best Short film at Berlin 2007.

He also directed the series Fok Jou! (2006) for Dutch TV and has made several TV-movies. In 2008, he directed his first feature, Skin, winner of the Movie Squad Award from the Nederlands Film Festival and the Reflet d’Or for Best Film at the Cinéma Tous Écrans Festival in Geneva. Schemer is his second feature.
