Borja Cobeaga

San Sebastian, 1977. Will be a member of the Kutxa-New Directors Award Jury at this year’s San Sebastian Festival. He started his career as a TV director.

In 2001 he wrote and directed La primera vez, a short winning a Goya nomination and over 30 awards. His next short film, Éramos pocos, landed an Oscar nomination in 2007, plus over 80 awards at festivals throughout the world.

Pagafantas, his first feature, won the Critics’ Prize and Best New Screenwriter Award at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival. (Source: San Sebastian film festival)
