Agnieszka Łukasiak

Born in 1977 in Wrocław. She came to Sweden from Poland as a political refugee in 1984. She studied at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts as well as the National Polish Film School in Łódź.

Her documentary Algeria - The Nameless War (2002) was presented at many international film festivals, including Toronto, Amsterdam, and Göteborg. Her Forgotten was recognized as the best Scandinavian documentary 2006 at the Nordic Panorama Festival and also received the European Humanitarian Prize.

In 1998 she received the best short documentary award at the Kraków Short Film Festival.(Warsaw Film Festival)
