Lee Tamahori
Lee Tamahori was born in Wellington, New Zealand, on 17.6.1950. He made his debut as a director in 1994 with the phenomenally successful Maori drama ONCE WERE WARRIORS. Since then, he has directed a number of star-studded Hollywood thrillers including MULHOLLAND FALLS (with Nick Nolte and John Malkovich) and THE EDGE (with Anthony Hopkins). His episode of the television series THE SOPRANOS found great acclaim, and he has also enjoyed particular success with the James Bond adventure DIE ANOTHER DAY. His film THE DEVIL'S DOUBLE (2011) was screened in the Panorama section of the 2011 Berlinale. (Source : Berlin Film Festival)
