Sally El Hosaini
Born in Swansea, Great Britain to Welsh-Egyptian parents, Sally El Hosaini grew up in Cairo and was just seven years old when she published her first story. After studying in Durham, she taught English at a girls’ school in Sana’a in Yemen. A supporter of Amnesty International and a screenwriter, she was also a contributor to the award-winning BBC series HOUSE OF SADDAM. Her film MY BROTHER THE DEVIL won the Cinematography Award at the Sundance Film Festival and won the LABEL EUROPA CINEMAS in 2012 Berlinale. (Source : Berlin Film Festival)
