Axel Ranisch

German director, writer, actor, producer and media educator. Born in 1983 in Berlin. He studied directing at the Konrad Wolf University of Film and Television in Potsdam. In 2011 he founded his first production company Sehr Gute Filme with a group of fellow filmmakers. His full-length feature Heavy Girls received the Special Jury Award for Bold Originality at Slamdance 2012.
