Volker Sattel

Volker Sattel was born on February 23, 1970 in Speyer. From 1993 to 1999, he studied directing and camera at the BadenWürttemberg Film Academy. Since then, he has frequently directed and done camerawork, mostly in documentaries, and collaborated with Mario Mentrup on several experimental feature films. Volker Sattel teaches as a guest lecturer at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and at the Konrad Wolf Potsdam-Babelsberg Film and Television University (HFF). His documentary Unter Kontrolle (2011), was screened int he Forum Section of the 2011 Berlinale. (Source : Berlin Film Festival)
