Esen Isik

Esen Isik is born in Istanbul in 1969. From 1992 to 1997, she studies film/video at the Zurich University of the Arts. Her diploma film Ölmeye Yatmak - Und sie legte sich zum Sterben nieder(1997) receives the Suissimage Young Talent Award in 1998. Her short film The Stolen Father (1999) receives multiple national and international awards, among them the Swiss Film Award in 2000. Reise ohne Rückkehr (2001) receives the Zürcher Filmpreis in 2002. Her shortYou&Me again receives the Swiss Film Award in 2012.
